Let your Spirit teach me, Lord, as I bow before your Word; Author of the sacred page, all my being now engage. I am darkness, you are light: quicken now my inward sight; let your Spirit's grace be given; break to me the Bread of heaven. Touch my eyes, that I may see all the truth you have for me; here within your written Word may I find my living Lord. Touch my heart, that I may learn for you holiness to yearn; kindle there your deep desire for a life made pure by fire. Touch my mind to understand all that you for me have planned; help me find my humble place in your purposes of grace. Touch my will, that I may bow to the truth you give me now; help me walk the pilgrim way in obedience day by day. Touch my lips to tell abroad all the grace and truth of God; let my life adorn my word-- only Christ be seen and heard. Let your Spirit teach me now, as before your Word I bow; with your holy fulness fill, work in me your perfect will.
