Transcendent God, beyond our finite world, majestic Other, who the heavens hurled, who with the cosmos sang and danced and swirled: In awe we exalt you; in love, embrace you. Endearing God, your presence always near, close as the sunset seems when it appears, your cheering voice and touch dry every tear: In awe we exalt you; in love embrace you. Remind us, God, of our determined place: you the Creator, know no time or space; we the created need your power and grace. In awe, we exalt you; in love embrace you. Beyond and near, not one but both are cause for earth-held wonder, and for heav'ns' applause; so, all creation to God's way gives pause: In awe, we exalt you; in love embrace you.
