Scott, K. Lee

K. LEE SCOTT (b. 1950) was born, raised and lives in Alabama. He received his B.M. and M.M. in Choral Music and Conducting at the University of Alabama, and has served on the music faculties at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Samford University. His choral compositions are in wide use from fifteen different publishers across the country. Appearances as guest conductor and clinician have taken him to Canada, Africa, and throughout the United States. In 1992, he was elected to the International Who's Who in Music, Cambridge, England. "Christ Calls Us Forth" one of his most popular compositions is available as a big festival anthem, (C 5003, 1999, Hope Publishing Co.) for SATB voices, organ, brass, timpani and congregation.
