Bryan Powell

BRYAN POWELL (b. 1950) has been in the ministry for over 40 years. Since getting his musical education at Baptist Bible College, he has taken many classes on orchestration and composition in continuing education. In 2000, he wrote his first publishable piece and has subsequently written 75 others. He currently has one piece with Shawnee Press titled Lift Him Up, which is selling well.

He and his wife have two children and seven grandchildren. He lives in Dallas, GA and enjoys (most of the time) an occasional round of golf. He is a full-time Minister of Music at Calvary Baptist Church in Smyrna, GA, leading a music department of five choirs, orchestra, and a traveling chorale, composing, arranging, orchestrating and writing novels (9 so far).
