Michael George Hegeman
MICHAEL HEGEMAN (b. 1966) holds a PhD in Homiletics and New Testament Studies from Princeton Theological Seminary and is an ordained elder in the Presbyterian Church (USA). He teaches adult education and preaches occasionally at Pinnacle Presbyterian Church in Scottsdale, AZ. He is a member of the Phoenix Symphony Chorus, a flutist, and an actor. Michael has written incidental music for over twenty theatrical productions, including Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing," for which he was nominated for a "Zoni," Arizona's Theatre Awards. Michael composes mainly sacred choral music with a preference for setting Medieval Latin texts. Michael teaches courses in Spiritual Studies and the Humanities at Grand Canyon University (Phoenix), The Southwest Institute of Healing Arts (Tempe), and The American Institute of Holistic Theology (Alabama). Michael also tutors locally in Latin and Greek, volunteers in the reading programs at the local elementary school, and is an avid traveler, having taught English both in China and in the Middle East.
