Darryl Dewalt

DARRYL DEWALT (b. 1964) is a native Albertan, currently living in Camrose - a small city near Edmonton, Alberta.

Since 2001, he has been Minister of Music for Camrose United Church (United Church of Christ), where he leads choirs, a handbell choir and drum circle, and leads congregational music with the organ, piano, guitar drum and voice. In the community, Darryl and his spouse lead the chamber choir, Camrose Camerata.

Darryl has a Masters degree in Church Music from Concordia University, River Forest, IL, and spent the first dozen years of his music ministry in Lutheran Churches (ELCIC) in and near Edmonton.

Darryl writes music primarily for his own use, and has written music for choirs, congregation, handbells, as well as for his children's bank instruments and ensembles. He is a multiple aware winner in the Alberta Guild of English Handbell Ringers annual composition competition.
