Croushorn, Brad
Brad P. Croushorn
BRAD CROUSHORN (b. 1971) aims to infuse an element of uplifting energy into his songwriting; crafting songs with a message to touch the minds and hearts of all who hear or perform his music. He hopes his music will inspire a chain reaction of encouragement and care to others.
Brad holds a M.M. in sacred music from Westminster Choir College, and a B.A. in music performance and education from Eastern Mennonite University. He is Associate Editor of School Choral and Classroom Publications at Alfred Music Publishing and is a member of NSAI, the NC Songwriters Co-op, Carolina Contemporary Composers, and ASCAP. He has served in Protestant and Catholic churches, as well as Jewish synagogues, with congregations ranging from the tens to over 10,000 members, and continues serving today in the Durham, NC area. This ecumenical and inclusive outlook in ministry pours into his music as well.
When not performing or writing, Brad immerses himself in the possibilities of song everywhere. From the dance-like rhythm of swaying tree branches, to the squawking calls of wild birds, or even the mechanical humming of machines...some form of music is always near. To be still, make these discoveries, and be a part of it, is truly a gift!
