BETTCHER, PEGGY ANN (b. 1961) was born is Aurora, IL and lives with her husband and two teen-age children in Lynchburg, VA. Since 2001, she has served as the Director of Music Ministry at Rivermont Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Lynchburg, VA, where she also serves as adult choir director, organist, and handbell choir director. She is currently an adjunct faculty member at Liberty University, Lynchburg, where she serves as the director of the Center for Worship Handbell Ensemble and teaches organ. Peggy received a Bachelor of Music degree in organ performance (1982) and a Master of Music degree in music theory (1984), both from Northern Illinois University at DeKalb. Agape/Hope Publishing released her first published handbell composition in 1999. Since then she has published a number of bell arrangements with the firm as well as a collection of arrangements of contemporary songs for organ entitled PRAISE & WORSHIP FOR ORGAN (Code No. 8131) 2001.
