Richard John Stanislaw

RICHARD JOHN STANISLAW (b 1939) was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. He received an undergraduate degree from Philadelphia College of Bible, a Master's Degree in Composition from Temple University and a DMA in Choral Music from the University of Illinois in Champaign. He served as Vice President for Academic Affairs and Professor of Music at Taylor University, Upland, Indiana (1982-92). From 1992 to 1998 he served as President of King College, Bristol, TN before moving to Vice President for Academic Affairs and Professor of Music at Waynesburg College, Waynesburg, PA. He is now President of Ocean City Tabernacle Association, Ocean City, NJ. Dick served on the editorial committee for THE WORSHIPING CHURCH - A Hymnal (1990) and with Donald P. Hustad he co-authored the COMPANION to that hymnal Code No. 1591 (1993). He also gathered the Swahili hymn "Yu Mwe Ma, Jesu," for the SUPPLEMENT 99.
