BRIAN T. COLEMAN (b 1920) was born on April 25th 1920 at Wallsend on Tyne, England. Ordained in the Methodist Church, much of his ministry was spent in education, teaching Divinity and Music. He was co-editor of PARTNERS IN PRAISE a collection of modern hymns and worship songs, published by Stainer & Bell, London. His songs are represented by that firm in the U.K. and by the Hope Publishing Company in the U.S. and Canada. His popular tune OASIS set to "As Water to the Thirsty" by Timothy Dudley-Smith, is #432 in Hope's new hymnal WORSHIP & REJOICE (2001). Pastor Coleman lives today in retirement in Cornwall, England.
