Jubilate had its origins in the early 1960s, led by pioneers Rev Michael Baughen, Rev Michael Saward and friends. For more than 50 years the organization has sought to promote the use of quality words and music in worship in churches across the world. It has been the driving force behind a number of ground-breaking publications, including Youth Praise, Psalm Praise, Carol Praise, Hymns for Today's Church and Sing Glory. It has also played a key role in the modernization of existing hymn texts, with the desire to make rich hymnody more accessible to the unchurched and the next generation.
