1. Declare the great good news!-- God speaks to all, each one: "My daughter, you are dear to me! I cherish you, my son! No woman, man or law, no power by sin defiled can take away your given worth as my beloved child." 2. Declare the great good news!-- The forces that divide are tamed, diminished, and absorbed in Christ, the Crucified. The stranger, shunned and feared or sowing pain and scorn, becomes our sister, brother, friend, unfinished, but reborn. 3. We brave the tugging urge of worry, fear, and need, and wrestle with the charming lies of money, fame, and greed. Yet though we fail and fall our lives to God belong through Christ, our way, our hope, our joy, our center and our song. 4. Though grief may break our hearts and death to each must come, the Power that raised the Crucified is our eternal home. Then let us, joined in love, earth's apathy refuse, and through our weakness and our strength declare the great good news.
