Christ is come! Let earth adore him; God appears in mortal frame. Saints and angels bow before him, praise his high and holy Name. Word of our salvation's story, helpless babe of human birth, Christ has laid aside his glory, born for us a child of earth. Christ is come and calls us to him; here by faith behold your King; with the shepherds kneel to view him, with the wise your treasures bring. Child today and man tomorrow, by his cross and crown of thorn he shall vanquish sin and sorrow, sing we then that Christ is born. Christ is come! Let all enthrone him, every tongue declare his praise; every heart rejoice to own him King of everlasting days. Christ is come, our sure salvation, Christ the ransomed sinner's friend, so with all his new creation sing the song that knows no end.
