A single Word unlocked the chain, that long had bound us in our pain; the heavens rang as angels sang of one who came to serve and reign. A single child was born for this: to love the one we would dismiss, to open doors till grace restores our world to righteousness and bliss. A single kiss betrayed the one who stood while others turned to run; the Father cried as Jesus died, and mercy's work was left undone. But love could not be sealed in stone, the lowly are not left alone; our Savior lives as God forgives and, by our witness, Christ is known.
