Great Love, your loveliness is signed in every human face with brush-strokes from your heart and mind, and flourishes of grace. Genetic code and social norm are prisms of your light, whose rainbow colors blend to form each soul's embodied flight. Diversity is your delight, but human life is flawed, and many, precious in your sight, are out-cast and out-lawed, and we, whom you have sought and found in Christ, by grace alone, enclose love's open, holy ground with fences of our own. Forgive and curb our itching urge to banish and condemn by pretext, policy and purge, defining "us" and "them." Let wonder flood our inmost heart, as Christ, our joy and crown, embraces all with healing art, and blows our fences down. We mix and meet, as fences fall and fear and hurt decrease, to work as one, and make for all a festival of peace. With stalls, and banners, and displays, we honor old and young, as every people's music plays, and every song is sung. Because the Word has graced our flesh, we celebrate today the givenness and giftedness of lesbian, and gay, and straight, and blended, hearing all until we all agree, for as we heed our Savior's call, the Spirit sets us free.
