Hymn
Acclaim with jubilation and sing in harmony with nature's old, evolving, unfolding symphony; the blazing of a comet, the greening of a planet, are songs without a voice that bids us all rejoice.
Be still, to muse and marvel how every creature sings. The chattering of dolphins, the chirp of cricket-wings, the coughing of a lion, the thrilling trill of birdsong, our highest skills invite to share in their delight.
The shrieking of the storm-wind, the surging of the seas, the awestruck alleluias that whisper through the trees, the rushing, booming surf-beat, the thumping, pulsing heart-beat, resound through blood and bone to praise the Holy One.
Then flex your hearts and voices, your fingers and your feet; bring music cool or classic, or drum a driving beat. With orchestra and organ expand the celebration till earth and ocean ring and all the people sing.
Acclaim with jubilation the Singer and the Song. Come out of isolation: to sing is to belong. To God, whose mighty singing sets all creation ringing, lift heart and soul and voice, be thankful and rejoice!
