We see in Jesus a love beyond telling: infinite majesty humbly became perfectly imperfect, God with us dwelling, Word taking flesh, saving Life given name. Born as a mortal and yoked to our story, suffering Servant whose thanks was a cross, Christ turned defeat to a foretaste of glory: new life was won by what seemed utter loss. Love that makes holy by risking and spending conquers sin's bondage and scatters death's night; so has Christ won for us life without ending, promised God's presence in freedom and light. Bathed in that life let us feast at God's table, telling Christ's vict'ry with bread and with wine, off'ring our worship as best we are able, here where the human encounters divine. Then let us go forth to pray by our living that love and mercy may daily increase. Challenged and strengthened by God's own self-giving, may we be people of joy, hope, and peace.
