Jesus, when you walked this earth, all your life was loving, giving; from you, women learned their worth, lepers, healed, rejoined the living. Sinners, outcasts, madmen knew God's own love because of you. As you walked Judea's hill's, love, not rules gave you direction; hungry folk gleaned Sabbath meals, unclean touch brought no rejection. People's needs, not ancient law, were the right your goodness saw. All your life and ministry set the pattern for our living-- life as God wills it to be, open, equal, kind, forgiving. Help us, Christ, to see and do all that God reveals in you.
