This we believe, O Loving Creator: you made all people good in your sight, blessed us and taught us, called us your children, taking in us a parent's delight. On us you lavish love without measure, love unconditioned, unearned and free-- we are accepted with all our failings, loved as we are, though weak we may be. But in our pride, how soon we forget you, place our reliance in human ways; when all our trust lies bleeding and broken, guilt, loss and sorrow darken our days. Yet you, who loved us from the beginning, love without limit still freely give; if we accept that love, and believe it, we can find wholeness, freedom to live.
