Lord, you do not need our praises: yet all beings must adore you who are the world's Creator: to believers, how much more! You, the First Cause, you, our Parent, who shall see you face to face? Who shall say where human seeking reaches into realms of grace? Lord, your unbelievers praise you in their love of humankind: for there's nothing worth achieving lies outside your loving mind. So shall scientists acclaim you seeing cause where some see chance; trusting in their dark researches that your universe makes sense. Lord, accept your Church's praises for your Son, whose name we bear; for your Saints, whose pure compassion teaches all of us to care: for the faithful, who find courage to proclaim your saving word; for all those who serve your kingdom without knowing Christ is Lord.
