Prayer takes place on bended knee, where I seek God earnestly; grief and joy flow from my heart- doing prayer, I learn the art. Prayer goes on throughout the day, conscious whisp'rings on my way; praising here, petition there, as I seek to be aware. Prayer occurs without a word, for the voice of God is heard in the silent, quiet place- discipline of speechless grace. Prayer is daily work, routine; in the tasks my Lord is seen. Prayer in Sabbath rest and calm, gift from God, a sacred balm. What is prayer? Not one, but all of the ways both great and small, that we our Creator meet in a closet, field, or street.
