Strengthen, Lord, for holy service hands that work your mysteries here; grant that ears which heard your praises may be deaf to sounds of fear; eyes which saw your great compassion see your hope with vision clear. May the tongues which chanted 'Holy', serve the purpose of your word, and our footsteps in the temple in the streets of truth be heard, bodies, by your body nourished, to a life of loving stirred. With your worshippers abiding, may your love direct our ways; hear the prayers your people offer and accept our thankful praise; may your peace and mercy keep us safe from harm through all our days. In the hour of your appearing, may we stand before your face ever raising high hosannas for the measure of your grace: for you love has come among us to redeem this mortal race. Lord, your love is strong to heal us, quick to pardon and restore; give us grace in songs of worship your great purpose to adore; to your sovereign name ascribing praise and blessing evermore.
