Life, life eternal, is our song: how in God's life we meet a life which must to all belong to make our joy complete; How God was born in human form that all might feel and see in Jesus Christ's brief earthy span the splendour life can be. How by our hand and to our shame the Christ was crucified; yet, even then love laid its claim: 'Forgive their sins', he cried. God raised him from the dead; Christ lives and now new life divine, its joy, its peace, its power Christ gives within our lives to shine. Let no one say they have no sin; but if we will confess that we can never good achieve, Christ gives us holiness. Christ will transform all life through love, and then, as we obey to love like that, the church shall prove God's presence every day. For God is life and light and love, and joy as of a birth. The Spirit gives us from above to live Christ here on earth.
