Cradled in a manger, on the fragrant hay, lo, the Christ lay sleeping on that holy day. Shepherds on the hillsides saw a wondrous sight; heard the angel's message, "Christ is born this night." Hastened they their footsteps, found him in a stall, worshiped there adoring Christ, the Lord of all. Wise men travelled to him, guided by a star, over plain and desert from a country, far; offered gifts and worship, lowly kneeling there, to the little Christ Child, Son of God most fair. Come, we too this Christmas, by his great love led; bringing love and worship to his manger bed.
