Lift up your eyes! The dawn you seek is bending to bless our night with fingers of the day; the bonds of darkness Christ the Light is rending; Lo! where he comes old terrors flee away. Lift up your hands! By love your Christ is broken, the Bread of Life for all earth's hungry throngs; the table spread, your presence long forespoken, feast here in peace, for here the world belongs. Lift up your hearts! Obey your risen Master; grant him abode; and he will dwell with you and give you back rejoicing for disaster, beauty for dust, and all the world made new. Lift up your souls! Possess your full salvation; on you the Savior's pardon has been poured; you are the hears of ancient expectation; yours is the shining kingdom of the Lord.
