O Lord of love and power, your wisdom is the cross; do save us in the hour when spirit is at loss. Our eyes will ever savor the Christ-child in disguise. O bless us by your favor; in weakness make us wise. O Lord of Word and water, the sign is on our brow. The Spirit, Son, and Father are in our presence now. In times of joy and sorrow you made us sure and wise; so open your tomorrow as blessing in disguise. O Lord, we own your story; your saints have kept us wise. Your Spirit showed us glory in lifting up our eyes. As bread is for the breaking in sacramental grace, so love is of your making, a blessing to our face. O Lord of now and ages, of endless stars and sand, though Satan often rages, your blessing is at hand. Our hope is in our holding Christ Jesus to our eyes; as blessing keeps unfolding, surprise us by surprise.
