The God of grace be blessed! So humbly drew he near, by all our woes oppressed, love put to flight our fear: no force below, no power above, can bar our hearts against God's love. Our mighty God be praised, and be his Name adored! From death's dark hold he raised our ever-living Lord, who, trampling under foot the night, brought immortality to light. Thanksgiving render God! He freedom gives from chains when in our dusty clod Christ's Holy Spirit reigns. Henceforth no more in vain we strive; in Christ shall all be made alive. To God the only wise glory and honor yield! Beneath his healing eyes his children he will shield and every hurtful thing destroy, to bring us faultless home with joy.
