GOD IS LOVE, AND AGE AFTER AGE DECLARES IT

God is Love, and age after age declares it;
God is Love, enthroned on the people's praise;
God is Love: our music and words, combining,
gladly proclaim it!

God is Love, and Christ on the cross reveals it;
God is Love: the Spirit in us confirms it;
God is Love: the lives that we live proclaim it:
Love will not fail us.

God is Love: with Christ we are called to show it;
God is Love: we take up our cross to prove it;
God is Love: we die to be resurrected;
death is defeated.

God is Love, the meaning of all creation,
God is Love, whose joy we receive forever;
God is Love, we share love's eternal glory,
endlessly praising.
