O mighty God! Creator and Redeemer, in strength enrobed, in majesty arrayed, above the storm enthroned serene, exalted, controlling wisely all that you have made: O mighty God! your blessed promise saves, your Word is peace, your love is true: that love is mightier than the raging waves, Lord, I believe! I trust in you. O blessed Christ! Those anguished sailors crying, 'Do you not care that we be cast away?' found a new question, born of awe and wonder, 'Who then is this, whom waves and winds obey?' O blessed Christ! when hope grows weak and dies, when light burns low, when fails my will, then let me hear your royal voice arise, above the tempest: 'Peace! Be still!' O Holy Spirit, rushing wind of heaven, your cosmic power made known when all began, O faithful Spirit, strong, life-giving, tender, gentlest of judges, mightiest of friends, - O Holy Spirit! Tell me of my Lord, how high his love, my doubts how base: Show me the things of Christ, my King adored - how small my fears, how great his grace!
