PART ONE Like a whispered breath, or a thunder-clap, or the thumping of a drum -- Come Holy Spirit, come! 1. Wake us to the wonders of our world: starlight, sunlight, ever-changing clouds, sounds of insects, animals and birds, shapes and colors, patterns and designs. Like a whispered breath . . . 2. Join us, making many into one, as a home of safety, joy, and light, so that we can say, in simple truth: "All are welcome, cherished, and beloved." Like a whispered breath . . . 3. Move us as we meet to hear your Word, joining mind and muscle, heart and voice. Set us free to weep and sigh and shout, dancing with our feet or in our hearts. Like a whispered breath . . . Send us into ordinary life. Call us out beyond our comfort zone, tending aching spirits, broken hearts, giving time, respect, and God's good news. Like a whispered breath . . .
