1. When mercy takes the judgment seat and prisons stand with open doors, when food-banks have no waiting lines and all can say, "come, see my home," we'll celebrate the reign of God; but here and now we'll tend the flame of all that Jesus came to do while God is making all things new. 2. When guns are melted and reborn as bridges, tools, and children's toys, when enemies with weary eyes shake hands, and share their tearful songs we'll celebrate the reign of God; but here and now we'll learn to show what patient, peaceful faith can do while God is making all things new. 3. When corridors of wealth and power have open doors, abandoned rooms, when children fill the senate seats and no-one runs for President, we'll celebrate the reign of God; but here and now we'll share a taste of all that Easter hope can do while God is making all things new. 4. When all the faiths of earth combine to listen, pray, repent, forgive, and spread a universal feast where every table welcomes all, we'll celebrate the reign of God; but here and now we'll sing the song of all the Spirit seeks to do, while God is making all things new.
