They came to hear tho word of God as now, O Christ, do we: so bless the teachers and the taught, by dockland, shore and sea. They leaned the Gospel from the boat and so, O Christ, may we : if waves and fishes heed their Lord, how ready must we be? They heard their Master's strange command and here, O Christ, can we launch out in unexpected ways, believe, obey - see! And one, at least, was penitent: so may I truly be ashamed like Simon Peter, then assured, accepted, free. O living Christ, what Peter found let us discover too, leave fear and failure in the past, move on to work with you. Then fishers, builders, harvesters and shepherds, make this plea: Speak to our hearts and rule our lives, our world, our Galilee!
