Great voice of God that thunders through the prophets, sounding, resounding till we understand, great heart that draws the world towards your purpose, peace, always peace with justice hand in hand: teach us the skills to build your peaceful kingdom that we not worship flag or country's fame, teach us the Cross can never be a weapon held by the powerful, wielded in your name. Yours is the voice that cries out for compassion, Spirit to spirit, leaping time and space, yours is the Word that comes alive in Jesus, strong face of courage, sacrifice and grace. Plant in us peace that grows through happy children, music and laughter, food in every bowl, sport that inspires and celebrates achievement, minds met in searching for a higher goal.
