O Holy god, you speak your word, the poetry of grace, the Word made flesh to show the way, the love that fills all space. You hear each voice that cries to you. You teach us what to be and do. You lift us up when things to wrong. You are our life, our song. Upon our hearts your Spirit writes the poetry of grace: the law of love, the way of truth, of justice, and of peace. You are our God and we are yours: so may we live from this day on, your holy people joined to you, that your new day may dawn. How can we witness to the world the goodness of your ways? What words can speak your wonders, God, what music sound your praise? Yet we will write, compose, and sing; with hands and voices we will trace the pattern of your endless love, the poetry of grace.
