WHAT WORSHIP DOES THE LORD REQUIRE

What worship does the Lord require,
     to whom all praise belongs,
but that the call of Christ inspire
     our service and our songs?

We hear again the prophet's word:
     the just and true obey;
with love of mercy seek the Lord
     and humbly walk his way.

So teach us, Lord, your way to learn,
     and those by grace forgiven;
until our hearts within us burn
     to sing the songs of heaven.
