Kingly beyond all earthly kings, Christ over all, his kingdom stands; our world, all worlds, the sum of things, are held in being by his hands. `King of the Jews', by Magi sought; `Blessed is he', the people cry; crowned as a jest and set at naught, `King of the Jews' he hangs to die. Lord of all life and power he rose, King of creation's wide domain, soon shall the trump of God disclose Christ as the King who comes to reign. Free from the bounds of time and space, yet of our inmost lives a part, both King and kingdom find a place enshrined in each believing heart. `Your kingdom come' in this our day: hear us, O Lord; make haste and bring that reign of peace for which we pray, the righteous reign of Christ the King.
