Creator of the stars of light, our Lord of mercy and of might, the Christ, redeemer of us all: O hear your people when they call. Through you, the savior crucified, the guilty age of death has died; you took our frail humanity and gave the world its remedy. And in the evening of our day you rose to drive the shades away; from Mary's honored virgin womb you came, to take your people home. The sun returning to the west, the moon in pallid splendor dressed, the glittering stars that pierce the skies, obedient, keep their boundaries. The unseen worlds below, above, at your supreme direction move; soon every creature of your hand shall bow to your divine command. We plead with you, our judge and Lord, to come according to your word; and in the hour of destiny to save us from our enemy. Now to the Father, with the Son and Holy Spirit, Three-in-One; to God whom heaven and earth adore be praise and glory evermore! Amen.
