All creation, sing to your rightful King who has come on earth to dwell; Christ the Lord is born! See the new age dawn, he is news to hear and tell. He is Jesus, the Lord and Saviour; God is with us, Emmanuel! On from Bethlehem to Jerusalem there are some who find him true; but in Nazareth they have planned his death and his followers are few. But he gives them his final promise, saying, 'Always I am with you'. Since he loves his own, he must cry alone in the garden as he prays; till the soldiers' spears and the women's tears seem to close his earthly days. But he died for our sins; he is risen! He says, ' I am with you always'. Many busy feet pass along our street; will they reach where they intend? Many hearts bear loads on our Walworth roads; O, to show each on the Friend who says ' Come to me with your burdens; I am with you till days shall end'! All the power is his and his word is this, through the kingdoms roar and rage: 'To the nations go, make disciples', so as we learn from Scripture's page he says ' Look! I am with you always, to the end of this passing age.' As we share his grace in the market-place, by the door or the lions' den, if the King is here, shall his servants fear? Let us hear his voice again saying ' Look! I am with you always, to the end of the age'; Amen!
