1 We meet together in the name of Christ the resurrected, whose truth for ever stands the same yet prompts the unexpected. We find assurance in the Lord whose mercy never changes but who confronts us with the word that hurts, and rearranges. 2 The gospel's truth securely stands: Christ suffered, died, was buried, raised up; all power is in his hands whose grace is ever varied. So let us build upon the rock of Christ our resurrection, but never fear the bracing shock of his unguessed direction. 3 Supreme, the holy Scriptures speak, the Spirit's word unbroken, to face alike the strong, the weak, and tell us: God has spoken. We cannot change what God alone has given for our obedience, but gladly face the paths unknown and pledge him our allegiance.
