Words By Timothy Dudley-Smith

This is the second in the pair of texts described in the note to 183 ‘Beloved in Christ before our life began’. Verse 2 employs the same rhymes as verse 1, but in reverse order. Daniel 12 is part of an apocalyptic vision comparable to later chapters in Revelation. In these verses a corner of the curtain is lifted, in celebration of ‘those who turn many to righteousness’. This text might well form the basis of an anthem or solo at a Thanksgiving Service for a faithful ministry.
