Our Vocal & Bell Choirs present several combined pieces throughout the year, so we're always looking for quality new selections. I became familiar with this piece during the National Handbell Seminar at the Hope Publishing reading session. I quickly contacted our Vocal Choir Director and she was also immediately impressed. We plan to use this as the focal piece in our Christmas Cantata at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Aberdeen, SD on December 20th. Thank you Brenda for introducing us to this moving piece!
Great piece that has a wonderful text and tune for a Christmas Eve service. There are a lot of very slow tempo Christmas hymns/anthems. This anthem gently but excitedly evokes the manger and Holy Family without being too slow at approximately 88 beats per minute. Perfect for our servfice!
This has become mine as well as my choir's favorite Christmas piece! Beautiful harmony, beautiful accompaniment and not difficult to learn. Can't wait to do it again this year!
