When I was unexpectedly asked and had committed to play for a wedding at our sister church here in Austin, TX, I realized I had no idea where my wedding music gathered over the years was stored after a cross country move - somewhere in a box in the garage. Can you relate?Hope Publishing has always been a great resource, so I went online and found John Carter's 'Wedding Music for Piano.' I wasn't familiar with John's work, but after listening to several samples, I downloaded the digital version of the book. I have been so pleased with the selections which provide a variety of songs - both classical and contemporary - for the entire wedding service. I particularly appreciated I was able to create a binder of appropriate music literally in one evening. The setting of each piece is rich without being overly technical, so I was able to come up to speed in a short time and provide the musical accompaniment the couple wanted - and that I enjoyed playing.I would recommend this book to anyone who has reasonable keyboard proficiency and who wants a single comprehensive wedding music solution.
