O God of grace, to whom belongs the work that love eternal willed, to right again our nature's wrongs, to see our destinies fulfilled, so still today your purpose proves the end to which creation moves. In every age your voice is heard, the calling of your love divine, by hearts responsive to your word and sealed in covenant and sign. Of old you led by cloud and flame: we walk by faith in Jesus' Name. The way of Christ who came to save is born of love, and life laid down; to go with him to death and grave, who set the cross before the crown; and so his path of life to tread who rose in glory from the dead. For evermore his kingdom stands when earth itself is past and gone; our future hopes are in his hands who calls his church to journey on: to work his will, to watch, and pray `Your kingdom come in this our day.'
