All heav'n breaks loose on Tabor's brow before their startled eyes when Peter, James, and John awake to stare in mute surprise as Moses and Elijah meet with Jesus on that peak and of his coming exodus in solemn counsel speak. Too wonder-filled to hold his tongue, brash Peter shouts a plan: "Here let us build three splendid tents, one tent for each blest man." Then round them wraps a brilliant cloud that makes all else grow dim, and from the cloud a voice declares: "This is my Son; hear him." Down from that mountain-top of joy their Teacher shepherds them and shows them how the path of need leads to Jerusalem; so guide us, Savior, from this time of gathered praise, this feast, into the world, where you still live among the last and least.
