Like the stars that hymned creation, sing praise to God; with the tongues of every nation, sing praise to God. For all blessings, great and growing, for new strength to keep on going, for the gift of peace past knowing, sing praise to God. In the silent pause of wonder, God's song is heard; in the hush that follows thunder, God's song is heard. When the hum of life surrounds us, or a deepfelt presence grounds us, most of all, when joy dumbfounds us, God's song is heard. As our minds and bodies labor, God sings through us; when we help and serve our neighbor, God sings through us. By restoring and forgiving, when our worship shapes our living day by day with love's self-giving, God sings through us. For the glorious gift of music, thanks be to God; for the skill and grace to use it, thanks be to God. For the surge of joyful noises made by instruments and voices when the church in hope rejoices, thanks be to God.
