Loving God, who birthed creation from the formless womb of space, kindling light to vanquish darkness, turning chaos into grace: may we heed you image in us when our doubts and fears increase; to our conflicts and confusion bring your beauty, order, peace. Spirit hov'ring on the waters, breath of life bestowed on earth, foretaste of the mighty blessing poured out at the Church's birth: come, inspire our prayers and praises; fill our hearts and fire our wills; wake in us the prophets' vision, hope that moves and faith that stills. Word-made-flesh to make love present, friend of sinners, foe of pride, teacher, healer, suff'ring Servant willing to be crucified: still you live in friend and stranger, all who hunger, fear, and ache; help us serve them, humbly, gladly, with your love and for your sake. Triune God whose threefold Being models how all lives are twined: weave our varied wills together, knit each heart and soul and mind: join our lives in faith and service, let our words and deeds unite; by our common witness may we spread your love, your truth, your light.
