You who wait to see a king, come to Christ and praises bring, with all people now proclaim "Christ is born in Bethlehem." Can this child have come to reign? A brown-skinned child of peasants plain, natal bed, the hard packed earth, cattle byre, his place of birth? See the plan of God's design, a human birth which is divine. God in human form discern, God's own child in Bethlehem. When with eyes of faith we see, every child has dignity, born in palace or in kraal, Christ is Savior to them all. Every race and hue unite, Christ is born to put us right. Christ is every neighbor see, Serve Christ with humility. Friends and neighbors come and sing, joyful songs and praises bring, let all people now proclaim "Christ is born in Bethlehem."
