Born as a stranger, laid in a manger, Jesus, the Lord of heaven and earth; to us descending, sinners befriending, bring us to glory by your birth! Infant so tender! Gone is the splendor, Jesus, that graced your Father's home; our nature wearing, our sorrows bearing, poor and alone for us you come. Lord of all lowliness, perfect in holiness, Jesus the Christ, of whom we sing; we bow before you, praise and adore you: be our true savior and our king!
